Plank Instructions
- Most of my pages have a video, but since not much is going on with a plank, I just have a few photos with different modifications.
- Begin by getting on your hands and knees.
- Bend your arms and place your forearms (from elbows to wrists) flat on the ground.
- Bring your feet back and raise your body off the ground.
- Try to straighten your body completely, so from feet to shoulders you are in a straight line.
- Make sure your butt is in alignment with the rest of your body, don't sag or raise up.
- Hold for at least 30 seconds, but you can go as long as you like, maybe go for a new record, can you do 9 hours, 39 minutes?
- Rest and repeat.
*None of the exercises shown are supposed to mimic your golf swing exactly. So please do not try to modify movement patterns in order to mimic your current golf swing. These exercises are designed to strengthen the muscles you use in your golf swing in a certain way so not to change your swing but make your current swing better. If you are choosing to modify your swing that is for you and your swing coach to work on.
