The balance side stabilizer is a great exercise for stabilization as well as working your abdominals without putting pressure on your lower back.

Balance Side Stabilizer Instructions

  • I really like these balance disks, you can use a bosu ball or other balance aid, but these are my favorite.
  1. Anchor a band about chest height and step sideways away from the anchor until you reach the desired resistance.
  2. Step up on the balance disks.
  3. Start with the handle in tight to your chest and grab with both hands.
  4. Slowly press the handle down away from your body at about a 45 degree angle.
  5. Keep pressing until your arms are out straight and pause.
  6. Slowly return to the start and repeat.
  7. Switch sides and repeat.
