Step 2 - Decrease Inflammation
In my opinion, Inflammation is the biggest plight of our culture. More than obesity, drug and alcohol use, cancer, etc... Why? Because chronic inflammation increases your chances of all of these.
Most people don't worry about inflammation until they are diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Crones disease, fibromyalgia, or any other chronic pain issue. Chronic inflammation is effecting 90% of our country.

How inflammation effects addicts in early recovery:
The biggest issue with chronic inflammation is that it doesn't allow the body to work properly, the body is so busy fighting itself that it can't do what it needs to. During this crucial time, it is most important that we decrease as much inflammation as we can. As we discussed the addict or alcoholic in early recovery has enough inflammation just from the drug use and detox.
